What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Evaluation Report from September 2024. ERO found outcomes for learners improving, with most students achieving curriculum expectations in reading and writing and a majority in maths. It noted engaging, responsive teaching, evidence-based reading practice, good support for students with additional needs, a strong sense of belonging, and a board that increasingly matches resourcing to its priorities.

ERO also found disparity for some groups, with equity for Māori learners in reading, writing and maths still a priority, and noted that a majority of learners attend regularly as the school works toward the Ministry of Education’s attendance target.

Next, the school plans to build teachers’ knowledge of maths teaching, involve parents and whānau more in their children’s maths learning, and keep checking whether its attendance initiatives are working.
