What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Report from August 2025. ERO found high quality teaching, with most learners meeting or exceeding the expected curriculum level in reading and maths and a large majority doing so in writing, and maths results even across groups.

Students feel they belong at the school and are proud of it, learning is linked to local contexts, structured literacy is well established, and the school is now taking a similar approach to maths. Most students attend regularly and the school is close to the government target.

ERO noted that reading and writing results are not yet even across groups of learners. Its priorities for the school are to align teaching, learning and assessment with the new curriculum requirements, lift achievement in reading and writing for all students, and keep improving regular attendance.
