About Splash Centre
Splash Centre sits within Springvale Park — Whanganui’s main outdoor and indoor sports precinct on London Street. It’s the district’s primary public swimming facility and handles a wide range of visits: lap swimmers using the 25-metre pool, families spending time in the lazy river or on the hydroslides, younger children in the toddlers’ and learners’ pools, and adults unwinding in the therapy pool, spa pools, sauna or steam room.
The two giant hydroslides are the main drawcard for families with older children and cost an additional $3.50 on top of the casual entry. Casual adult swim entry is $5.50; child and concession rates are listed on the WDC fees page alongside membership and learn-to-swim programme pricing.
The on-site fitness centre is available for casual gym visits and memberships. The café provides food and refreshments before or after your swim.
